Our Toloa (participants) of the Pasifika Philosophies Course

We are excited to introduce Toloa (participant) Dr. Milla Vaha, who is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Affairs at the University of the South Pacific, renowned for her profound engagement with Pacific philosophies. With an academic foundation in Ethics and Political Theory, Dr. Vaha has dedicated nearly a decade to immersing herself in the rich tapestry of Pacific cultures. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident as she embarks on the Certificate in Philosophical Competency, scheduled from 26 July to 8 August 2025.

Dr. Vaha aims to deepen her understanding of local knowledge systems and ethical frameworks, aspiring to enhance her capabilities as both a researcher and educator. This course represents a significant step in her scholarly journey, one that she approaches with an open heart and mind, eager to contribute meaningfully to the academic discourse surrounding climate justice and other pressing issues in the Pacific.
