The gender challenges faced by Pasifika communities are deeply interwoven with cultural traditions, faith-based values, and evolving development dynamics. Emele Duituturaga, highlighted these complexities through the findings of two recent Pasifika think tanks focused on reStorying Gender for Transformative Leadership for Justice.
These think tanks were convened to navigate Pasifika gender narratives to reflect this niu paradigm. Establishing a robust foundation for transformative leadership for justice is urgent, driven by a collective voice throughout the Pasifika household. This approach seeks to adopt a community-based knowledge, philosophy, spirituality and development rooted in the Pasifika way of life.
